The family of Prem BK is originally from Tansen, a growing city in western Nepal. Prem BK like many families has the dream of creating his own dream home consisting of a sturdy structure large enough to comfortably house his entire family. With easy loan support from the CLIFF Housing Program implemented by Lumanti, Prem BK has completed building his own home which he considers a paradise.

 

“Being a member of an extremely poor family, my mother struggled immensely to raise me.”  BK continues, “Managing enough food for the family was extremely hard for my mother. She had to work from early morning till late in the evening for a pot of rice to cook.” Building a comfortable home was just a dream for BK’s family despite their intentions for a better life. Their family lived in a small hut near the family’s new home where a total of four members of his family lived with many difficulties.  

 

With the completion of their new home, they have fully settled in and are living with great satisfaction and happiness.
