Joint Monitoring Visit at Dalchowki Project

A joint monitoring team comprising Deputy Director General of Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC) Mr Padam Kumar Mainali, Habitat Program Manager of UN Habitat Mr P.S. Joshi, Professor of Khopa Engineering College Mr Mohan Murti Panta, Lecture of Khopa Engineering College Ms Sunena Karmacharya and VDC Secretary of Dalchowki Ms Radha Dhakal visited the Dalchowki VDC in Lalitpur today to monitor the project activities being conducted by Lumanti Support Group for Shelter under the project 'Improvement of Living Condition of the earthquake affected families in Dalchowki'.
The Joint Monitoring Visit is organized by Lumanti Support Group for Shelter.

During the visit, the team monitored the model earthquake resistant buildings constructed at the time of On-site Mason Training. The team also interacted with the people in the community and discuss about the problems and challenges that they have been facing. The community is facing severe water crisis leading the delay in the construction works.

Lumanti has signed a tripartite agreement with Ministry of Urban Development and DUDBC for the implementation of the project in Dalchowki. The project is being implemented with support from Sign of Hope.
